Disclaimer: I have no excuse for my rambling except I may or may not have eaten approximately 20 (okay probably more) sour gummy cherry coke bottles prior to typing this post. Oh, and I'm deliriously in love with my blanket, too - rendering me unable to think or speak coherently.

It came along to Palm Springs
and was very well-behaved in the car.
Sometimes it rested on the desk
other times opting for quiet time on the deck lounge off our room.
It also may have played part in a ridic outfit post I can't wait to share next week.

Talk about an item exceeding your expectations. When I first saw the blanket in the Roots Spring Campaign I took to the phone lines and tracked this mother down thinking it may not be as good in person. Nothing like being wrong and loving every minute of it. When I removed the blanket from the box even my mom gasped. Sign of a family heirloom...hope my niece retains a bit of the hippie as she gets older :)
ps-have you checked out the facebook page I put up for the blog? if not, be sure to stop by and examine the picture of the chef, the blanket and a crystal he found at the hotel. secure depends prior to arrival. just saying.

it is totally pee pants amazing, isn't it?? okay you just said that. minus the pee, of course :)
Um, it looks amazing. And I can think of about 5 places in my house it would look amazing. Like on the couch (when I'm laying on it), or in the chair (when I'm sitting in it) or on the bed (when I'm napping in it). Hmm. A theme...
Yesss, the Navajo Blanket! I'm obsessed. This is so YOU, Carrie, I swear. It's gorgeous and goes with everything and looks good EVERYWHERE. On second thought, maybe it actually IS you in a blanket form?

Katie - do you neeeed the details?
Caitlin - I'm still pulling the pictures but hoping it will come together and really show the outfit. It was one of my faves!

I love that blanket! It reminds me of Pendleton and it will indeed make a great heirloom. It seems like you had a ton of fun on your trip from what I read on Twitter which makes me really want to go to Palm Springs even more than I already did- I've only driven through.
A blanket named blanket. This is why I visit your blog - you have the coolest things are too freaking funny!
I just fanned you and added you as a favorite page to my page. Come on over when you'd like!

It is quite an amazing blanket lady! I concur!
Had no idea that Michael Jackson had a child named Blanket. That is why I love reading blogs; I learn alot. Must confess that blanket looks wonderfully warm and vibrant, happy colours, too.

What a gorgeous Navajo blanket! I think it's a keeper. Enjoy it!
You are too funny. I love the Navajo print though.
Carrie, you crack me up! xo
It's always a good sign when your mom likes something as much as you do - and you won't have to worry about her trying to steal it either - so bonus.
She's really beautiful!
Wow, is that beautiful?
Just please don't start screaming in the car to Chef if you ever forget it. LOL...my son used to do this all the time when he was little. I'd find myself turning around and going back to get it just to quiet him down (I got really good at making sure the "snugie" was ready to go even if I never seemed to be.). It did, ya know. I hope you find much comfort in your beauty.
Ah, yes, the MikWright card. Their stuff is so dang funny!
Smiles!
Haha loooove it!!!!! :D

Gah! Carrie stop tormenting me with fabulous finds like this! Ohmigosh that is the material form of you reincarnated - no joke. I just love it!! :)

I like the blanket pattern. You always have nice photos.
It's definitely something you'll want to pass down to your grandkids. (If you want kids that is!)It's gorgeous!
if ever a blanket was made for you, this is it! did roots track down your blog and custom design this?!
i love this so much! and family heirloom for sure!
This blanket is so "you" carrie! I love it. The picture of the chef wrapped in it on your facebook is priceless. Thank goodness you were able to track this down!
That blanket is so much more stylish than my leopard print snuggie which also travels with me!

That blanket is really pretty! And you've given me a major craving for cherry coke gummy candy. Hmmmm. I may have to go track some down now.
That blanket is awesome. Total side note - when I had to carry an egg as a baby in high school mine fell off the football bleachers. Needless to say I still don't have kids. Perhaps I should look into a blanket baby.

You were right-I could not produce sentences. This is AMAZING, and bound to be a family heirloom!
OMG, I was so surprised, I thought you really named a kid Blanket. Don't you think it's a little mean for the kid. I surely wouldn't want to be called blanket :p Thank God it's a real Blanket you're naming. It's a beautiful one btw, I'm loving the bright colors!
This blankey is SO you!!! Love the bright colors :)
haha, meant to type blanket* :)
it's gorgeous and you TOTALLY belong in the roots' spring catalogue!
That's one impressive blanket. I love how big it is and those colors. Spectacular! And seriously makes me want to be curled up on my couch with a blanket right now instead of typing at my desk in my office. Blech.
Yay! I'm so glad you got it! It does look absolutely cozy... almost makes me wish it was cold again instead of 86 out... ha.

Love it! It looks so cozy and so you...
P.S. Saw the picture of the chef...pretty much amazing. xo
Oh Nicole. He's pretty much lost it.
I must say that is one blanket with style! It looks more like a poncho too than a blanket!
I have 3 kids named Blanket. 3. And I birthed them at a very young age (like maybe 5). I love them and sleep with them constantly. Just found your blog and loved what you wrote as a comment on someone's page "I don't care about the holiday, or all the people drinking green beer and barfing it up in the gutter"... or something like that... but it made me laugh out loud because I feel the exact. same. way. ha! Glad I found your blog!
Girlfriend, First I thought I wanted to share closets, now I want to share everything! ;) The blanket is insane! Love, love, love! And it just fits you so amazingly well. Every night you will find me cozied up in my heirloom quilts - there is nothing quite like it. You wear it well. xo Samantha
