Jason Wu x Target: The Cat Got Me

As you well know I have approximately zero love in my heart for Target after that Missoni debacle when I got up at 1:30 in the morning only to have my bike and blanket be snatched out of my online cart when the site crashed and customer service, who could see the contents of my online cart, refused to cash me out thereby dashing my dreams of pedaling around in style with a zigzag blanket in my basket.

Even after I waited on the phone to speak with Target's 'customer *cough* service' for TWO HOURS.

Target:  Oh yes I see the contents of your cart right here.

Me:  Okay well I have my credit card ready.

Target: Oh I can't cash you out from here.  You'll have to wait in line with everyone else.

Me: Pause.
       Pause.
       Pause.

But I have been waiting in line with everyone else and I AM waiting in line with everyone else.  It's called going to the line that's available. Isn't that you?

Target:  Oh I'm sorry.  I can't help you complete your transaction.

Me:  Blackout

Seriously.  I can't recall anything after that.  I came to with the phone in pieces all over the room (kidding on this part), zero contents in my online cart and dreams of my Missoni bike and blanket dashed in shreds.

And don't even get me started on the in-store soccer mom ill behavior experience.

I wasn't even contemplating LOOKING at Jason Wu's line.  Couldn't give a rat's *ss as a matter of fact.  And then they had to go and get dirty and use a CAT (my ultimate weakness) in the ad?

Really? REALLY??

I want the t-shirt.  Can anyone DIY one for me? Jason Wu??

I'll pay someone to go to the store on my behalf.  I will not be overcome.

You hear me Target?

Unless you have my Missoni bike.  Then we can begin negotiating my return to your establishment.

Everyone's got a price. Mine starts with c-a-t.

I was so fed up with Target that morning. All I wanted was the freaking silver cocktail shaker. You brought back all sorts of bad memories!

I won't even look at the commercial for Jason Wu. I don't want to be lured into a cat and mouse game with a dress that will be snatched away from me.

The cat totally got me to! Too bad we don't have a Target in Canada yet ; ( Otherwise I totally would have stood in line for you and me ; )

Go you!! I so remember this crappy situation happening to you!! I think its horrible that this store lost TONS of customers because of how transactions on that day were handled...and here I sit with your purse in my daughters trunk....kill me, seriously..I beg you!
Ive made a decision that I cant show my face here til that bag is in your hot little hands....:(

I didn't try with Target for the Missoni line.
I am not trying for the Jason Wu line.
Screw it. I just can't justify going through that much stress.

Ugh, I hated the whole missoni debacle, that morning was wretched, then my ordered got delayed several times and then they sent me the wrong color tights, and then my flats were cancelled. I finally got my throw (which was the item I was most wanting, so I am thankful for that) but the whole thing left a bad impression.

I'm apparently a glutton for punishment because I will be trying to order a few things from the Jason Wu line, I can't resist how adorable so much of it is!

Yea...Missoni was HORRIBLE! But I am SO excited for Jason Wu anyway...I'm going to the store in the morning and I know I'm going to regret it and it will be a horrible experience...if I happen to see that top I can pick it up for you! (what's your size?)
The commercial is sooo cute, gotta love the kitty
I'm not getting my hopes up too high but there are SO many pieces I'm in love with.

That commercial kills it. I wasn't interested...but now...but now I am. Oh no...this is going to be rough. Hold me.

I don't know about the bike, but if you go to the Target web site nowadays (or at least last week), there are a ton of Missoni items.

I am hoping the Jason Wu line isn't going to be hyped and lusted for like Missoni's was, because there are actually quite a few items I wouldn't mind bringing home! But go to a store first thing and play grab-hangar with tens of blown-out mani-pedi'd dark skinny-jean wearing ladies, no thank you!

I want the floral dress and that cat but I never go to Target.

I can't even look at the commercial. What's the point, the ebayy psychos will scratch everything up and sell it for $800 Stupid target!! blah. Ok I'm done. I hope you have better luck for all of us! xx

Okay, I have to give it to them–that's one cute cat, and a clever commercial. But I still don't know if I would chance it...

I'm going to try it online for Jason Wu...but I do not have high hopes for it at all. But I will soldier on.

I saw that commercial this morning and thought it was so adorable!! Cute kitty!!
I hate that you had such a horrible experience with the last designer collaboration. Hopefully, this one will be a lot more civilized. I 'm a crazy fashion lady and will be at Target first thing on the 5th so I'll keep an eye out for that tee.

I'm not stepping foot near this mess. If I see a cat t-shirt lying on the sidewalk after two or more women are finished pulling one another's hair out over it then FINE I'll pick it up and run away. Otherwise hell.no.

But I do want your updates.

i could give a rat's ass about all these target lines. i never feel like they're well made. i feel like i'm among a dying race of people who just isn't into it.
side note- i read somewhere that all the missoni stuff is readily available for super cheap online.

I wanted the color one...and was so close to victory. Until the site crashed. Thanks for the FYI though :)

I just can not wait for your post after you succumb to the cat t shirt and go online to purchase it.

I've never had issues ordering any of these designer collaborations online, but after your experience I am so afraid to order. That top is really cute though, and very you.

Carrie, we're going to have some issues here. Because I want it. ALL.

HA!!! I will go for you, I want one of the dresses, it will be a good work piece, hit me up - what do you want???

Target.makes.cheap.crap. Doesn't matter who designed it. I actually found one of the missoni dresses in a thrift shop the other day, brand new. $12. I put it back - even second hand, I'm not feeding the retail monster that is Target, Walmart, Kmart and all the other superstores killing small business.

oh i so agree - Target lost ALL my respect after Missoni - i got confimation emails and all - and NOPE i didn't get ANY of my items - ok i got 3 things - but how dare they send me a CONFIRMATION email then tell me 'oh it's sold out' - 'someone else got your order' - oh hells to the no - over Target and these damn designers - no more waiting up all night and being first in line at the doors!

Can I just say I can't wait until Target comes to Canada...not that this is about me, but see how I turned it into that. After watching the commercial I think it's going to be Target 2 - Carrie 0. Sorry.
