Ow Ow Ow Ow Red Pants Ow Ow Ow

To be clear I'm ow'ing over my freaking carpal tunnel'd right wrist.  It's gotten so bad that at one point today my hand and arm were numb from fingertips to part way up my shoulder.  I'm trying not to whine, but I don't think I'm being very successful.  Sigh

It hurrrrrrts like a biznatch.

That being said I have to cut this mother short so I can work today which, coincidentally, involves mad amounts of typing at times.  How can this thing heal without downtime? Can cats be trained to type?  I wonder if they require a salary and/or mandatory breaks under CA state law?  Things to ponder while my brain continues trying to regenerate after last night's bachelorette.  When I got up this morning I was so disoriented I couldn't remember what day it was.  No jokes.  Good thing my brother called during which time my 18 month old nephew sang a few words from Justin Bieber's 'Baby'.  To be exact he sang out 'Baby, baby, baby woooo'.  I almost passed out laughing.

Enough rambling.  Let's cut to the pants.  I've had these things sitting in a bag by my desk for a month during which time I've toyed with cutting them to wear cropped and frayed, or just hemming in general.  The thought of returning them has crossed my mind more than once too...I mean how much will I really wear red pants?  On Sunday I bit the bullet and threw them on for a Father's day dinner with friends.  It's official:  they're keepers (the pants and my friends).

Admission:  I stepped foot in AE on Friday night and went nuts in the bracelets.  Buy one/get one free.
I have nothing to say for myself.  I swore I'd never give them money again after
they ripped 1000's of hearts out by closing Martin+Osa.  The price tag made me do it?
Shameless
Once I put the pants on I remembered every reason I drove into the middle of nowheresville
late one Friday night on freeways I'd never even heard of before just to get the last pair.
In the fitting room I jumped up and down with glee.  I have no problem admitting that.
Should I cut them off?
And yes I realize these pictures are redundant, but the other one reallllly
showed the belt I got for $9 at the flea market and later spotted for $140.
I'm so glad I'm newborn cheapskate--I'd have missed out on so many good things!!
This is the 'oh yes we do have enough pictures I'm done' look.
Nothing's worse than having a couple of cars circle the block repeatedly to stare.
Awkward

Okay is anyone else having issues with blogger inserting extra spaces between paragraphs?  I just don't understand how to make it stop.  Anyone?  Anyone??

Red pants are surprisingly versatile. I had some yearrrrs ago and now I'm thinking I need another pair (since those are long gone).
Ok, do you have the brace for the carpal tunnel? I tried to find the link to the specific one my doc recommended but I can't find it and um, that's all I know about carpal tunnel.
I've had the weird blogger spacing issue and I have no idea how to fix it but it annoys me. As most things on blogger tend to do.

ow ow ow! I'm sorry your tarpel tunnel is so bad :( But i do have to say, you are looking pretty fab in the red pants! Do not cut them!!! They look great how they are! Hope your cats were able to help w/ the vigorous typing you had to do ;)

You look terrific. The red pants fit as well as is possible. Sorry about the carpal tunnel. I'm glad I don't have it. It's hard to give up the computer to fix it. I couldn't do that. And if someone circles the block to watch you take pics just know that you look super doing it.

Love the pants! I had a pair of red pants about 9 years ago and I got so many comments whenever I wore them. I completely wore them out too, the crotch became a bit threadbare which is never a good look.

As for yours, I don't know if I'd cut them, they look pretty fantastic in these photos.

Yuck, carpel tunnel. I used to work for a neurology clinic and the amount of nerve conduction tests we would do was incredible. Two days of 14 minute appointments, fully booked. Yuck, hope you get it sorted out asap because cats are bloody useless. God knows I've tried training mine and he just sits there with a look of disdain on his face. Smug bastard.

RosaLovesDC said...

So sorry about your carpal tunnel, feel better soon.
In terms of the pants, they are perfect the way they are. Love them. I wear mine all the time.

LyddieGal said...

Oh my god, those pants are perfect! Don't touch them. If I suddenly lost 30lbs from my butt I'd hop on a plane and steal them from you.

Sorry about the carpal tunnel - word recognition has come a loooong way since via voice, maybe give that a try?
(you talk out loud to yourself all the time, right - it wouldn't feel weird?)

Oh my, I love these red pants! And I love them even more paired with the leopard shoes! SO CUTE!

Carrie, you look so pretty. I LOVE the red pants. The car was probably circling because you look hot, Girl!
Have you heard of that software that types for you? I think it's called Drag and Naturally Speaking or Click & Naturally Speaking or something like that... I've seen the commercials. You just talk out loud an it does the typing... perfect for carpal tunnel. Might be worth looking into. xo

You look bangin in those red pants!! Do not cute them because they fit you too well.

At least that's my two cents.

YES blogger won't let me add pictures today!!!!

Ummm...seriously, I hink there is too much fabulosity going on in this outfit. The shoes? Love! The bag? Swoon! The red pants? Ohmigosh I die I love them! The belt? Incredible! You look AMAZING!!! :)

Man, I never wanted red pants this much since I was in seventh grade and red Guess jeans were all the rage and all the other girls had a pair and my mom bought me green jeans from Zellars instead (you can clearly see this scarred me for life). Seriously, you're rocking those things like nobody's business.

And that's super crappy that your wrist is still bothering you this much - my mom and best friend have carpel tunnel and it seems so painful so I sympathize.

my photos wont even work to post so i have no idea why blogger does any of the crap it does. im a bit fed up if i do say so myself.

i think the red pants are just awesome! and like katie said above, they are surprisingly more versatile than most of us would give them credit for. i have a soft spot for yellows and reds together...so i definitely would love to own a pair so i can do that.

i hope your wrist feels better! last night as i was answering emails on my blackberry (oh the joys of having no internet) my wrist would go numb and throb...felt like i had carpel tunnel from texting/emailing. and if yours is real, i can only imagine the pain :(

embarrassed to say i finally saw the bachelorette episode. yes, i actually tuned in to watch it...disgusting on my part, i know. but i had to see what was going on.

1) william is a loser and nerd. he lives near me. i wish i could egg his house (parent's house i should say because he seems like that is where he probably still lives)

2) i effing swear if i hear bentley's name again ill scream. but better yet, i hope he messes with her head more. i actually have no sympathy for her at this point.

3) again...what is ames doing on this show? at first i could not look at him because his fake veneers bothered me, but now that he has kind of "emerged" on the show...i think he is sweet, kind, too-good-for-her.

4) please discourage me next time i say im gonna watch this show. please.

fshnonmymind said...

Seriously, someone circled the block to watch you take pictures??? Stalkersville!!! You should have waved and blew kisses so that they would have felt a little awkward as they should have been.

You look fabulous in those red jeans!! They fit you perfectly!! You know I'm totally on board with those. I can't wait to wear mine again this weekend.
I love the hint of leopard with the shoes and I think you should keep them as they are. You can cuff them if you want, but still have the ability to wear them long.

Your red pants, the fringe purse, and your leopard shoes ROCK girl! Don't cut them. They look great rolled up and then you can wear them in the fall and winter too.

I have a pair of bright pink pants that I am getting ready to wear soon! Just don't think I could get away with them at work though.

Stacey said...

Don't cut 'em girl! They are hot and i love how they look rolled up too. Not sure what a doctor can do for carpel tunnel, but maybe visiting one won't hurt. XX

Those pants look fab on you and I'm totally jealous!! I'm small on top and not as small on bottom (ahem) so I don't think it would be prudent for me to put bright red on my bottom half. But every time I see someone pulling it off like you just did I get a little green with envy.
I wouldn't cut them off by the way, I think they are super cute as is.

OneCraftyFox said...

Seriously, one of your funniest posts ever.

Sorry your CT is not getting better. But don't you dare cut your blogging short because of it. /joke

Now, about those pants... they are all kinds of awesome and I absolutely love the entire look in general.

I [heart] them rolled, but I was thinking... if you cropped them slightly and then you could wear them at that length or roll them a wee bit shorter. That's versatility, yo! I have an awesome pair of distressed cropped skinny jeans I do that with (purchased with pre-fabricated holes and such) and they look bitchin'. Also the rolled part will be a little less bulky that way.

Not that you and your pants aren't already ridiculously hawt.

;)

PS, I get those paragraphs too. I find I can fix them by going back into the original post, "back-spacing" everything so it's all mush, then going through and indenting with one stroke of the "enter" key before posting. It's just the formatting that get's confused when you add images and change fonts. Silly computers.

My Heart Blogged said...

The pants are freaking hot on you, and I love them with the leopard print. If you know how to edit html go to that tab when creating a new post to remove the breaks/random spacing.

Laura said...

Ohh sorry about the wrist, hun. Hope it feels better soon! Maybe you can bribe the sweet chef to do your blog typing for you :) LOOOOVE your hot pants!! I think they could look really good as capris, though, too.

As for the graf spacing issue, have you tried going into the "edit html" button rather than "compose" and hitting backspace? That usually works for me.

stylenuggets said...

Oh don't cut them -they look perfect on you the way they are. If I knew I'd look like that in a pair of reds I'd purchase a pair today.
Umm...the extra line between paragraphs seems to be a random thing. Perhaps Blogger doesn't like paragraphs or extra lines??
