To Warmer Days Ahead

Well girls today is the beginning of the White Denim in Winter Challenge and it would only figure that I'm seriously under the weather with a cold.  I spent Friday night trying to convince myself that I didn't have a sore throat, only to wake up on the couch Saturday morning barely able to swallow.  Tall tales to self continued well into the evening where reality set in:  someone else would be singing Maneater at a local hang out while I sipped hot tea through a straw.

There is no justice in this wicked world.

I am so looking forward to seeing how everyone styled their whites today.  I'll join in on Thursday as the whitest thing I have to offer right now is my dastardly pale skin.  Here's who's up:

Everyone posts at different times so you might need to visit more than once, but I've already seen Lyddie's and she sent me into tears.  Gorgeous!  Speaking of tears does anyone else cry when they're sick?  I spent Saturday night shivering and weeping away to The Holiday.  Oh Jude Law.  Oh Kate Winslet.  Oh romance.

On that note I leave you with a glimpse into today's outing with the Chef.  Long live boyfriends who don't give a rip about the Super Bowl and running around with plastic cheese on their head while the neighbors get ripped out on pot, screaming and hollering their heads off, using baseball terminology to describe football.  True story.

Here's to sunnier, warmer days ahead.
It's official:  I despise winter.

See you back tomorrow for Round Two of the Whites.  Hope you had a great weekend!

Curl up on the couch with more movies, magazines, and fro-yo! Death to the sore throat! (And winter. Blah. I hate it more than usual this year.)

It's the worst. I'm gonna go cry in the corner and go to bed.

Ok we commented on each others posts at the same time again - it would creep me out but its kind of awesome. ANYWAY.
1) The spacing looks find on my computer. Any big problems with the computer yet? I think I had about 1094320 meltdowns with mine, NOT because anything went wrong, technology just freaks me out. Oy.
2) Idk what we got last week - snow, slush, ice MESS that was gone in a day. Apparently something else is coming Wednesday. I dont know anymore. I scream at the weather forecast. Did I mention I hate winter? Hate.

I can't believe you are still sick, Carrie! Did you go the Doctors? Maybe you need an antibiotic, Hun. Oh, Pinkberry... Logan went crazy for it when we were in Cali! Feel better.... love The Holiday. xo

White in winter (proper white, not off-white or beige)... That is a challenge! I do hope you get better soon, Carrie. Sore throat is really no fun. xo

First things first - I luh-huh-UVVVE your Tucker dresses togeva. Like, inappropriately love. Secondly, sorry you're under the weatha. Thirdly - I am SO down with my white in winter challenge - check it out mamacita. Finally? Props INDEEEEED to Chef and The Hubs who don't care about the superbowl (or sports in general). I mean, football to The Hubs is soccer, ammiright? I didn't even know who was playing until yesterday.

Feel better soon - hugs and kisses!

I hope you feel better! Colds are the worst. Well, actually, the flu is worse, but you know, colds are pretty bad too. I already had two of them this year...I'm so over winter, too.

Genius idea for mixing the two dresses together. I love them both!

Also, love @ the frozen yogurt. There's this frozen yogurt place in the Mall of America (which is about 3 hours from where I live...good thing or I'd be getting frozen yogurt all the time) and it's seriously delicious. Props to you for getting healthy fruit toppings on yours. That's what my boyfriend does, while I pile on the Oreo crumbles and M&M's. I'm awesome like that.

Why do you look so amazing even when you are under the weather?! My nose gets as red as Rudolph's and there's not a whole lot of hair brushing going on. But enough about that....can we just talk about those shoes?! The color, the studs, the...everything. In love!

Hope you feel better lady! xo

Awww, I hope you are able to kick this cold for good soon! And I do find myself emotionally vulnerable at time of illness, aka, weeping during 27 Dresses (that bitchy sister did cut up the dead mom's wedding dress after all...)

I'm glad to see white jeans week is off to smashing start with some really strong looks from the other ladies!

That pinkberry shot just made me hungry! I'm so sorry you're feeling under the weather. Have I already told you to take Zicam? I swear that company should be paying me for all the people I turn onto their product. It's just a heavy does of zinc, but it does wonders for a cold!

I love your layered Tucker. I have a confession to make: I've never worn the pink butterfly top I bought. Eeeek! I love the colors so much (bright!) but I'm struggling a little with the shape of it. We'll see . . . I need to have a date with that top in front of my mirror and try it a bunch of different ways.

But I also love winter. Although I have to say that it's warmer in the bay than it was down in southern California this weekend!

I also love your clogs. And pinkberry. And all frozen yogurt (though this weekend I skipped pinkberry in favor of Sprinkles).

Hope you feel better--so sorry you're STILL sick! My goodness. I hope you're at least having movie marathons and lots of tea & honey (and ice cream).

I always cry when I am sick. The latest bout with cramps (the one time a month when I HATE being a female -- why can't we just cut our uteruses out during that week????) left me in tears for 3 of the 4 days. Fucking lame if you ask me. And don't even get me started on crying when I have a cold. It makes it worse because you snot your nose up, and then you cry more because you have more snot. It's a horrible cycle.

I really do love the Beibs!

I think your Mrs. Ropert-esqie outfit is retro fab.

A man who doesn't watch the super bowl? I didn't know there was such a species lol.

Uggghhh I HATE STONERS with a passion.

Hey gorgeous! You look so beautiful, your outfit is so flowy. Sorry to hear you are not well, let the chef take good care of you. So awesome that he does not wear to cheese on his head, I saw a dude like that last night. I mean, what's up with that? What does it even *mean*?!

Now girlie, I do have one thing to say that you are not going to like. While you are prancing about in your hot little heels and light layers, I am bundled up every morning in a hat, scarf, two layers of mittens (well, chunky mitts over thin gloves), a downe-filled jacket and flat soled sensible boots that go up over my knees. So right now, you're not getting any "winter weather sympathy" from me, lol. And since you're Canadian, you know exactly what I'm talkin' about! ;)

Feel better soon, sweetie!!

ooo, that white denim thing is awesome!!! I wanna do it!!!! I'm excited to look at what people do, white denim can rock in winter for sure but you gotta do it right and not make it look like you don't realize it's summer, seriously- exciting to see! Also, hahah about your boyfriend not caring about the game - but is it okay if I think your neighbors day sounds kinda fun :) Great outfit of course, you do Pinkberry proud as I think their little shops are so cute, I think it's just the toppings :)
